there have been a few made but it is a custom job. you will not be able to get back the money you put in to make it a convertible but I would guess it would sell for more than what it was worth before the chop

Per the for sale rules you need to post a price for the item you are selling

Looks pretty damn sweet! www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2010/9/11198.html

actual track layout - www.formula1.com/assets/pdf/Draft%20Trac...yout%20F1%20USGP.pdf - the red line is "the line" or the suggested line at least.
3D track layout (elevation change) - www.formula1.com/assets/pdf/F1%20USGP%20...LayoutwElevation.pdf

they mention similarities to (in)famous turn complexes from other tracks, here are a couple examples:

T12-T15, similar to Hockenheim's stadium section -- at time 1:10-1:30

T16-T18, similar to Istanbul's multi-apex T8 -- at time 0:50-1:00 -- sustained 3.5Gs, pure balls-out corner
- probably my favorite corner in all F1.

I REALLY hope I can get this track, but at the very least I will be going to watch!

I took mine into O'Rileys to have them turned. they took off about 0.013" off each side and that helped quite a bit but there was still some shaking. it will depend on how bad out of flat they are but it's worth a shot

I have no idea what that headlight looks like but one thing you can do is take it out and remove all the bulbs and anything else that will come off and then bring it inside and hit it with some heat to get all the moisture out. then come back along the edge where the glue seal is with a small bead of silicone. That is how I would do it.

I think the hold for 10 sec button got phased out sometime in late 07. Best way IMO is to just wire in a switch, this was like mod #4 for me. YOu can turn it off with the predator but it also turns off your ABS. When the roads are dry I'll run with the the ESP off but when it gets wet or its pretty cold out I turn that sucker back on. Having the switch makes it easy.

well the dealer is right to a point. you do have to drop the rear cradle to do it and for me this wouldn't be something I'd want to do in my garage.

This was all done on a 2006 300C SRT. I don't know if it will work for all makes and models

On the fronts.

Remove your door panels. there are several of the push pins and some screws in it. I had to remove the door pins as the BT ones are bigger at the top than stock! You need to push in the center button on the pins but don't push too hard or it will go out the back side, fall inside the door and lost forever (ask me how I know).

Once all the screws and push pins are out, pull on the door at the top and around the middle because the door also snaps in, in a couple places around the mid-high center of the door.

Pull door panel and undo all wiring. I had a hard time with the puddle light and just took the whole thing out. there is a good write up here 300cforumz.com/showthread.php?t=39497

Once all that is out of the way, pull the mirror off. Three nuts hold it on. Undo those and you have to kind of finesse it off. I found it was easier to remove the lower trim. That how to can be found here. 300cforumz.com/showthread.php?t=11747

Once you get the mirror off. You can see where the chrome trim is clipped onto the door. You have to unsnap it then pull off. I used a screw driver wrapped in a microfiber rag to undo the clip. I didn't worry about saving the trim, but if you want to, be careful. It's kind of a PITA to get off. Pull the Chrome trim up; It's taped for the first couple inches till you hit the window. Then pull down, as it has a lip that folds into the window sill. Then The Other end by the b pillar has tape on it as well, from the window to the end of the trim.

When you put the door panels back on there were 3 white body panel fasteners that were stuck on the door. I couldn't get the panel back on without removing them first. these suckers are in there tight. I broke down and bought a body panel rivet puller and in combination with a flathead I was able to get them off. You have to use some force too but nothing broke.

On the rear

it's mostly the same thing.

There is a christmas tree push pin underneath the triangle. Others have just pulled till the plastic tore instead of pulling the door panel and triangle. I don't like that idea. I pulled the door panel, it's similar to the front. Push pins, screws, then pop off.

Once the panel is off, i pulled the lower trim off. It kind of wedges the triangle in. you can look under the chrome trim by the door handle and you'll see the torx bit needed to remove. There is one on the front by the B pillar as well, Lift up on the lower trim and lift it off. It's kind of a PITA.

Now, once that is off, you'll see a 10mm bolt holding the triangle on. There was some tape that covered up the access hole to the bolt that you have to remove. You'll need to be careful not to let that nut drop down inside the door. I was able to use a nut driver and get a finger in to help hold it while I removed it. If you have a magnetic socket that would be best. You can also just back off the nut some so you can see behind the triangle if you want.

Off with the triangle, It has a lip on the window side, so lift out towards the front. Once that is off you'll see the christmas tree clip.

Pull that sucker out and use the same method as the front to remove the trim. It's taped on each end and has a lip that folds into the window, so lift the tape, then pull down to pull the window trim out.

Now put the triangle back on, and don't drop the nut.

Put the lower trim back in and then reattach the door panel.
