Since the club was founded in May 2007 we have never collected any membership dues. We are proud that SCLX is a dues-free and sponsor-free organization. We did not want money to be a factor in a owner's decision to become part of SCLX. Owners can participate knowing that there are no dues required... ever. In addition, you will never see ads on our website or fourm. SCLX is supported by members for members.
The Mission:
Space City LX provides members and their families an opportunity to take their vehicle ownership experience to levels they have never experienced before. We provide a way for members to exchange information with each other, to educate themselves, and to express their creativity with other like-minded enthusiasts. Members participate in local events, road trips, car shows, and mod meets. Members Helping Members is not just a slogan, it's what we do.
After you spend time on this website and attending one of our events you will quickly know if this community is something that will benefit you.

SCLX is supported by our members and operates under Space City LX Modern Mopar, Inc., a non-profit corporation. The Leadership Team and Club Staff are 100% voluntary positions and receive no compensation for their service.
Operating Budget - $5,000
- Technology (website, security, software upgrades, hosting, communications, etc).
- Marketing (tag cards, flyers, banners, ads).
- Event Expenses (name badges, lanyards, supplies).
- General Expenses (rental fees, trailer registration & insurance, storage unit, etc).
- Equipment as needed.
Annual Project - Phase 3 of SCLX Event Rig - $2,500
- Interior indoor/outdoor carpet installation.
- Audio, video, lighting equipment.
- Exterior graphics refresh.

Did you know, in a quick search we found ten local car clubs that have annual dues ranging from $20 to $135. We've been asked over and over by vendors and other clubs, "How can you operate dues-free?" Simple, we can because of our great members. Thank you to all who have supported SCLX through the years. It is because of our Club Supporters that SCLX keeps Moving Forward. |
