LSMF 2020 Race Program Update

Hello Racers!

We've had a few questions on the race program for 2020. Let's address the most asked:

1. What types of race program tickets are there for 2020?

Option 1: Modern Street Hemi Shootout - You competitively race in two brackets. The MSHS bracket you are eligible for, and, a bracket race. You are eligible for payouts.

Option 2: Fun Runs - Think of this as a test-n-tune like you'd have on a weekend race night at your local track. Our race director will actively manage this part of the program to make sure you get a few passes in.

Learn more about the LSMF Race Program here.

2. Do racers need to buy admission?

In order to simplify the process for the front gate and speed up entry for all, we are SEPARATING the race registration from the admission ticket.

Everyone will need an admission ticket. See #3 for more info on admission tickets.

Once inside the track LSMF will have our own Race Registration tent inside the pits. We will have all racers names and ticket-type on our list. Just come over and we'll get you set up to race. Race Registration will also be available at our Friday Night Welcome event.

We've used this process in at our events in 2011-2018 and know it will speed things up on event day.

3. What types of admission will there be?

We will have ONE type of admission (last year we had General and VIP). This year everyone will have access to the Starting Line Grandstand and the VIP Club Room.

To park in the show/race side of the track, all vehicles will need a Pit-Side Parking Pass ($10). Paved show parking is on a first-come basis. For racers, the parking pass (pits) is included in your RACE REGISTRATION fee.

4. Where can I get my Race Registration?

Race registration is now available at our online store. We have an equal number of MSHS and Fun Passes available to ensure racers get to race in the style they want. If you purchased early-bird prior to 4/30/2020 (from our Eventbrite) we have your information and you are all set.

The Road to Spring Festival 2020

Back in 2006, a group of owners known as SoCalLX decided to host a gathering of LX owners. That gathering was known as the Spring Festival of LXs. One of our SCLX founders was in attendance. Since then, a member of SCLX has been at EVERY Spring Fest.

The tradition continues this year as the SCLX Away Team plans to drive, ride, and fly out to Pomona for #SF15.

Stay tuned to our Instagram and Facebook as we share the Road to Spring Festival 2020.

SEMA 2019 | When In Rome

Rob David & Lori David

Hello SCLX family. It was another big year for your favorite brand at SEMA 2019.

It felt like every other booth had a Jeep Gladiator tricked out and on display. Just when I thought I saw one "the way" I'd want it, there was another around the corner.

As tradition would have it, MOPAR held their unveil at 4:26pm on Tuesday. Under the black cloth this year was the MOPAR Dragpak. Here are some stats:

  • Supercharged 354 cubic inch V8
  • NHRA Certified 7.50 second ET
  • Welded roll cage
  • Holley Dominator electronic fuel managment controller
  • Limited to 50 units.

Thanks again SEMA for a great show.

Check out a few pics.

Two Days | Five Activities | One Focus

We are one week from Lone Star Mopar Fest #9. It's a new chapter for us as we move the event to Houston Raceway Park. In addition, we are collaborating with the Modern Street Hemi Shootout to provide a first-class race format.

LSMF is a Meet, Show, Race all in one place.

Be sure to visit for all the info!

See you on Oct 4-5.

Give a shift, get a cup!

Hello all !!!!

We try to something special for all the volunteers who help put on this event.

This year, instead of a cheap t-shirt that says "staff" they will get a lanyard/bracelet and this special limited souvenir glow cup. In addition, the 17 cars for our MOPAR M will be chosen from interested volunteers.

If you have already volunteered, thank you!

If not, please visit to see where you can help.

Thank you!

Why Participant Judged?

At our second event, in 2012, we introduced a competition element to our Show-N-Shine activity. We figured the race cars had a competition opportunity and we might as well do something for the show cars.

In all honesty, this element has been the hardest for us to meet expectations on. We've had challenges with weather affecting the time frame, with comments of bias when a sponsor has naming rights to the show and also judges, finding outside judges, hearing from competitors that those outside judges don't "know our cars", and we could go on.

Given all this we are introducing a new-to-us format for 2019. A peer-review Participant Judged competition. Owners know these cars so we will let participants in the show vote for their favorites.

How will it work?

1. The Show-N-Shine is included with a VIP Admission. When you arrive at Houston Raceway enter at Gate #1.

2. Park. Unload.

3. Head over to Event HQ to get your entry form and dash number.

4. Get your ride show ready.

5. When instructed, head back to Event HQ or your ballot.

6. Walk around and pick your TEN favorite vehicles of any shape and size.

7. Turn your ballot in to Event HQ by 3:00pm. No late ballots will be accepted.

8. We will tally the votes and award Favorite Tens in the following groups:

- LX 2005-2009
- LX 2010-2014
- LX 2015-2020
- Truck, Jeep, SUV
- Non LX Cars

9. We will notify the Favorite Tens of each group to stage for the Favorite Fifty Parade.

10. Be in the grandstands for the t-shirt giveaway, parade, and the MSHS finals.

The overall enthusiast experience is our priority and we have come to realize over the past several years that a casual, participant judged show, is the best fit for LSMF.

We hope you'll join us this year to spend time with other owners, see old friends and make new ones!

2019 LSMF Mopar M will be chosen from volunteers

Our LSMF Mopar M, first started in 2012, takes a new twist. For the first time we will make 17 random selections from a list of applicants. In order to apply you must be a LSMF 2019 volunteer. Enter by September 15 and selections will be made on September 16 and posted on our Instagram.

Are you a volunteer, check your inbox for our email.
